To maximize your time on the crater floor you will enjoy a special boxed lunch at a scenic picnic spot.
Your journey will take you through this tremendous landscape that is constantly changing as animals move to and fro in search of pasture, water, or east prey. Early in the evening ascend to the rim and drive to ngorongoro crater rim for dinner and overnight.
Start with Breakfast, then drive to Nainokanoka Maasai village near Olmoth Crater. Our Maasai guide will meet you here to go on a beautiful hike across the magnificent Embulbul depression. Much of the crater floor is covered by a jewel-like lake. Walk along the lakeshore teeming with thousands of pink flamingos. The eerie lake, the occasional hyenas chasing flamingos, the wild sounds…will make your spirit join with the body. Then ascend to the rim and trek to NAIYOBI MAASAI Village.
Hike down off the Great Rift Valley wall to the base of Mt. Ol’ Doinyo L’Engai. (Your pick-up Safari jeep will meet you hereafter dropping you at Ngorongoro Nainokanoka village on Day 2. Shortly after midnight, the jeep transferred to the base of Mt Ol’ Doinyo L’Engai for the climb to the peak of this live volcano. The climb takes about 3 hours at a normal pace. The climb is strenuous and requires a physically fit person. Arrive at the Peak just before sunrise.
Behold! You’ve seen a crater with live animals at Ngorongoro, and a crater with a rainbow-colored lake at Embakai and now you will see a crater smoldering with fire. L’Engai volcanic crater looks like a field infested with red firelight insects just before sunrise. An amazing site to visit. Tour of the active Crater after sunrise.
Later in the morning descend to the base and transfer to camp for brunch. Tour Lake Natron on the way back to Lake Manyara overnight. Lake Natron is the principal flamingo breeding area in the whole of the Great Rift Valley area.

Tanzania Safari holidays are good all-year-round. Because of such close proximity to the equator, Tanzania undergoes two distinct dry and wet seasons. But the best-best time depends on the type of Tanzania safari activity you choose. However, the dry season of June to October is considered to be the best time to go on the Tanzania safari.
During the period of December to March, the Serengeti Migration congregates in large herds around Lake Ndutu in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area of Tanzania Safari. So, the wildebeest migration in the Serengeti is usually during June and July and January to February is the perfect time to see the wildebeest calving.
Ideally, there is no fixed price range for Tanzania safari. There are several factors such as time, numbers of days, and accommodations types that influence the Tanzania safari cost. LeoBl24 March 2025A great Kilimanjaro experience I have recently climbed Kilimanjaro with Brighton and his crew and I had an outstanding experience. The meals were always amazing, lots of food as well. One of our guys struggled a little with altitude sickness, but everyone made sure that he will make it up the top, but all in a safe manner. Brighton is a very knowledgeable guy in the area and has been running Kilimanjaro tours for a very long time and you can see and feel his experience in any possible way. I can’t recommend him and his crew enough!Verified

Nath_London21 March 2025Hiking Kilimanjaro I had the once in a lifetime opportunity to climb up Kilimanjaro via the Lemosho route. Although the trek was challenging- especially getting to the summit, it was lots of fun and I had the chance to experience some spectacular scenery and nature along the way. The support of all the team was first class and I would recommend this for anyone considering taking up the Kilimanjaro challenge!
